1. About this policy

This policy explains how Maikovo Interactive Limited (脈可互動有限公司) (“Maikovo”, “we” or “us”) collects, uses, retains and protects personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

It applies to this website and to the products and apps published by Maikovo. Where a product has its own privacy policy, that policy prevails.

2. Information we collect

Browsing this website

This website has no accounts, forms or cookies, and uses no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting and content delivery providers process technical data for security and operation, such as IP address, browser type, access time and the pages requested.

Contacting us

When you contact us by email or other means, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company name and message.

Using our products

Where a product offers accounts, purchases or other features, we may collect account details (such as email address and username), device and technical information, usage records and support records. The data each product actually collects is described in the product and in its app store privacy details.

Payments made through platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by those platforms. We do not receive your full payment card details.

To keep our services secure and prevent abuse and fraud
To comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

4. Disclosure and transfer

We disclose personal data only where necessary, to:

Providers of website hosting, content delivery, email and cloud services acting on our behalf
App stores and payment platforms
Law enforcement or regulatory authorities entitled by law to request it

Some service providers may process data outside Hong Kong. We require them to take reasonable measures to protect it and to use it only on our instructions.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. General enquiry records are deleted within 24 months after the enquiry is resolved. Account data is deleted when the account is deleted, except records we are required by law to keep.

6. Security

We transmit data over encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to the people who need it, and review our security measures regularly. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Your rights

Under the Ordinance, you may request access to and correction of the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to direct marketing at any time. Where a product has accounts, you may also request deletion of your account and associated data; see Deleting your account and data.

Email privacy@maikovo.com to make a request. We will respond within 40 days of receiving it. As permitted by the Ordinance, we may charge a fee that is not excessive for a data access request.

8. Children’s privacy

Our products are not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe we have collected a child’s data by mistake, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will update the effective date on this page. We will highlight material changes on the website or in our products.
